Coverage

The Preferred Protection Roofing System Limited Warranty provides 100% coverage for both material defects and the labor to repair or replace them, including tear-off and disposal. Additionally, most Roofing Essentials Accessory Products take on the warranty of the shingled installed**—in many cases this extends their warranty period.

One-time Transfer

Whether you’re staying in your home for years to come or plan to sell, the Preferred Protection Roofing System Limited Warranty is an excellent investment. If you’re planning to sell, you can transfer the warranty once anytime during the life of the warranty, making it highly desirable to future home buyers.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Preferred Protection Roofing System Limited Warranty, you must purchase and install Owens Corning™ shingles and at least three Owens Corning™ Roofing Essentials Accessory Products. You must also meet the following requirements.

• An Owens Corning™ Preferred Contractor must install your new Owen Corning™ Roofing System and adhere to local building codes.
• Your roofing system must be installed over a clean roofing deck and not over existing shingles or other roofing materials.
• You must use a No. 15 or No. 30 asphalt-saturated felt, Owens Corning™ Fiberglas™ Reinforced Felt or Owens Corning™ Deck Defense™ Underlayment.
